Humphreys Visual Field Testing
This is a specialist test to measure your visual fields. Light stimuli of varying intensities appear in different parts of the visual field; your visual fields are charted on the perception of these lights. The results obtained from the patient are then compared with those of an age controlled population database and the amount of damage is quantified.
This test is invaluable in diagnosing, and monitoring the treatment in patients with glaucoma, macular changes, various neurological conditions and also DVLA driving standards.
3D OCT-1000
Topcon’s new 3D OCT-1000 provides us with an ultimate tool for detecting and monitoring retinal diseases such as macular degeneration and glaucoma. The OCT allows us to see the layers of the retina and beyond. This machine is commonly used at eye hospitals by Ophthalmologist.
EyeCap
This retinal camera takes a photograph of the back of your eye; the retina. These photographs are invaluable in monitoring the health of the eye. Visual records are more accurate than written records hence the EyeCap is a fantastic tool in keeping a long term record of your eyes.
